| Bill Dorsey a graduate from Howard University
has been painting for over fifty years. He studied with
notables as Lois Mailou Jones, James V. Herring, James
Wells, and James Porter. In this new body of oil paintings,
Dorsey states, "These soul-felt renderings represent
my humble attempt to visually capture what nature so willingly
and graciously makes available to us on a regular basis,
but so often is lost in just a mere twinkling of an eye."
Bill has exhibited widely in the Washington metropolitan
area such as; the Smithsonian Anacostia Museum, The Office
of Congresswomen Eleanor Holmes Norton, The Corcoran Gallery
of Art and the French Embassy. His paintings may be found
in many private collections throughout Virginia, Illinois,
California, New York and Puerto Rico.
The Photographer's Cooperative, a group comprised of
Washington area image-makers, is proud to announce their
first exhibition at International Visions. The cooperative
gallery will begin regularly featuring exhibitions,
lectures, and workshops of both black and white and
color photography. The group, composed of local, national,
and international photographers, will present over thirty
original pieces from their extensive collection. Members
include: Llewellyn Berry, Pradeep Dalal, Shawn Davis,
Jonathan French, Nestor Hernàndez, Victor Holt,
