INTERNATIONAL
VISIONS - THE GALLERY
Located in the heart
of Washington, DC, International Visions – The Gallery proudly
serves one of our nations most culturally diverse communities.
“We
Make a Difference”
Our vision is to be a vessel of goodwill for all people who walk
through our gallery doors; to establish through art a milieu that
inspires warm smiles, kind spirits, and maybe even releases an incarcerated
tear.
Our mission is to
represent artists whose artistic creations express unadulterated
reflections of life that are neither binding nor autonomous, concentrated
nor diluted – but just is…
Through art, our
goal is to become a geographical link between people, cultures,
beliefs, and lifestyles.
Our objectives are:
a) To exhibit original fine art; b.) Introduce highly accomplished
international, national, and regional artists to Washington, and;
c) Host events that allow for the free flow of information between
artists, patrons, and collectors as well as benefit the greater
world around us.
Our History:
International Visions-
The Gallery, LLC was founded in January 1997 by Timothy A. Davis,
current owner and Director. His vision was to develop a Fine Art
Gallery in Washington and exhibit internationally and nationally
known artists. After securing the space, developing the image, the
vision, and the plan with the assistance of other partners and artists,
International Visions-The Gallery was placed in motion with its
opening celebration in March 1997.
After ten years,
the gallery has grown at a rapid pace and the necessity of continuing
the vision is very important. The gallery is well established in
Washington as a serious Fine Art Gallery and the media attention
as been very fruitful and reporters are waiting to see our next
show. Our international artists have done very well as a result
of showing in our gallery
and their careers have grown and we have made a difference. Our
regional artists have also gained attention and many artists have
found a home for their patrons to purchase and view their work on
a continued basis.
The Gallery's mission
is to exhibit and promote multi-cultural original work by national
and international artists. We present visual art exhibitions and
special cultural traditions in dance, music, theater and the literary
arts.
Our Artists:
We represent artists
from over twenty five nations, including: Australia, Jamaica, Ghana,
Kazakhstan, Argentina, Columbia, Chile, Cuba, Haiti, Zimbabwe, Kenya,
Senegal, Bangladesh, Ukraine, China, Canada, Vietnam, Ireland, Bulgaria,
and South Africa.
Many of our artists,
both national and international will be participating in our Tenth
Anniversary celebration in March 2007.
