International Visions presents its first International Photography Competition with the theme “America in Focus.” Photographers will have an opportunity to explore that theme with black and white, color and digital photography. We are proud to have Sharon Farmer, an independent photojournalist and former White House photographer (1993-2001), whose clients have included The Washington Post, The Smithsonian Institutions, and the Jamaican and Venezuelan, governments, as a judge. Ms. Farmer’s broad range of experience, including stints as a professor of photography, political photographer, supervisor of the photography center at the Lansburgh Arts Center, and lecturer, make her the ideal candidate to judge “America in Focus.

The first placed award shall receive a one month solo exhibition at International Visions Gallery,
with the possibility of future representation by the gallery.

Juror: Sharon Farmer, Independent Photojournalist; Clients have included: The Washington Post,
The Smithsonian Institution, The Jamaican, Venezuelan, and DC Governments.
He served as White House Photographer for the Clinton/Gore Administration 1993-2001.
