Since
an early age, Rakhmanova has displayed her art in numerous exhibitions
in her native country and overseas, winning prizes and awards for
her work. In accordance with the traditional Russian school of drawing,
painting, and composition, she has also worked in a variety of media
including textile design, collage, sculpture, and Gobelin tapestry,
and has completed intense study of the theory and history of fine
art. She draws her inspiration from the human form, and the unpredictable
combinations of shape, color, and emotion that occur when two or
more of these forms come together. Each of her works evokes a different
mood and creates an intimacy that invites the viewer to delve deeper
into her subjects.
